How We Work with your family

While we train students to learn techniques and explore their God-given talent, we encourage each of them to strive toward creativity that glorifies God. We expect each student to behave in a way that reflects Christian character. We pray for and with the students weekly. We honor and study scripture as the ultimate, infallible authority for life. While each family is involved in activities at our facilities, we ask each member to observe those principles taught in the Bible about conduct, communication, conflict resolution and behavior.

Each student must apply and register for classes, with online payment, or mailing a check. Classes may be changed after registration but before the 2nd week of class. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment will be removed from the schedule.

Each month, class fees will be billed to each student. Automatic payment to a credit/debit card is available.

**Every artist must learn the discipline of setting up a workspace, preparing the tools/materials (and their mind) for creativity, and cleaning up/caring for tools and materials. So each class includes time for setup/cleanup during which ALL students are expected to help. When students take responsibility to complete these tasks quickly and efficiently, more time is available during the class period for creating.**

Rights Release

Participating in activities at New Creations Academy indicates your agreement to our use of work created with guidance of our staff, or while in our facility. Images of such work may be used, at the discretion of the administration, in promoting New Creations Academy, in printed and digital marketing materials, website, and fundraising. Completed work remains the possession of the artist, and New Creations Academy retains unlimited, non-exclusive rights to use partial and completed images of students and their work.

Mid-Term & Final Showcase

Twice each year we gather to celebrate what we are learning and share with our friends and family what we've accomplished.

Each student will submit at least one piece from each course for an exhibit.

We do not require judging nor is there typically any voting on the full exhibit. Parents, siblings, family, neighbors are all invited to come through the exhibit and view the artwork, as well as the performing arts pieces.

General Policies

Each Family Agrees to Abide by These Terms

I understand New Creations Academy is an inter-denominational leadership and arts program with a focus on Christian worldview and Christ-centered instruction. My student(s) and I agree to maintain words/speech, behavior and projects that glorify God, as revealed in the Bible.

We plan to read all the communications sent to us via paper, email, U.S. mail and announcement, and respond promptly and accurately. We will participate fully in activities/classes in which we enroll, prepare as needed, give our best efforts and attention, arrive and depart on time, and help with housekeeping.

We will attend dressed appropriately and neatly, with proper hygiene employed. We will communicate promptly with staff if we have difficulty keeping with the payment schedules or have other issues for which we need prayer or help.

We will speak the truth in love, avoid unmannerly acts and words, and handle conflicts according to Biblical guidelines.

In areas of Christian doctrine in which we don't agree wholeheartedly with another, we will speak gently, behave patiently with one another, and seek the areas in which we *can* agree.

We will pray for the program and all those involved with it to become and remain exactly what God has planned.

We will honor God and love our neighbors.

Bible references:

James 1:19 ESV / Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

Galatians 5:22-23 ESV / But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Ephesians 4:29-5:4 ESV / Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. ...

Colossians 3:13 ESV / Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Romans 12:17-21 ESV / Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
